AUDITORIUM NAMED AFTER PROFESSOR VREZH PARSADANYAN OPENED IN HAYBUSAK UNIVERSITY

The opening ceremony of the Law auditorium took place in the Faculty of Law and International Relations of Yerevan Haybusak University. The auditorium bears the name of the prominent specialist of Iranian Studies, long-term teacher of Persian language and literature, late Professor Vrezh Parsadanyan. Rector Suren Harutyunyan, President of the International Academy of Education Anahit Harutyunyan, the students and teaching staff of the University, Vrezh Parsadanyan’s relatives,as well as Deputy Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Shahbaz Solbi, Cultural Adviser at the Iranian Embassy Majid Meshqi were present at the opening of the auditorium. Professor Vrezh Parsadanian’s grandchild and the Deputy Ambassador of Iran opened the auditorium. In her speech, Anahit Harutyunyan mentioned that it was due to Vrezh Parsadanyan’s efforts that the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia supported Haybusak University to have a cabinet on Iranian Studies. “The man aspired to have close relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, with the representatives of culture, and today his name comes to join the auditorium which was gifted to us with pleasure by the Embassy of Iran,” she mentioned. Dean of the Faculty of Law and International Relations Geghetsik Grigoryan emphasized that the opening ceremony of the auditorium was planned on 30 May, meanwhile Professor Parsadanyan passed away on 29 May. It is noteworthy that the opening ceremony of the auditorium took place on the 7th day of Vrezh Parsadanyan’s death. Cultural Adviser to the Iranian Embassy Majid Meshqi mentioned that the death of Vrezh Parsadanyan was a loss not only for Armenia but for Iran as well.
