Institute of Economics, Management and Informatics

The Faculty of  Economics was formed along with the establishment of the University (1990). In 1995 it gave its first graduates. Since 2003 a two-level education – Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees, has been functioning in the Faculty. The majority of the alumni work in their professional field in different spheres of economics, such as commercial and non-commercial, financial-credit and insurance companies, banks, RA National Assembly, RA Government.

The best alumni having Master’s Degree work at the corresponding chairs and departments of the University, as well as continue their PhD education at the National Academy Institutes, Public Administration Academy of RA, Armenian and foreign universities.

Institute of Economics implements professional education in the following directions:

• Economics; the qualification of the alumni – Bachelor and Master of Economics;
• Finances; the qualification – Bachelor in Finances;
• Informatics (Computer Sciences); the qualification – Bachelor and Master of Informatics;
• Management; the qualification – Bachelor and Master of in Management.

All the specializations are licensed and certified by the state.

In the Institute of Economics the education is implemented in full-time and part-time modes. Full-time education in Bachelor’s Degree is 4 years, part-time – 5 years, and the Master’s Degree – 2 years.
