After the victory in the battles of Sardarapat, Aparan, and Gharakilisa on 28 May 1918, Armenia gained independence and the First Republic of Armenia was established. On this holiday the students of the basic college and high school of Haybusak University together with Armenian history teacher G. Vardanyan visited Sardarapat Memorial. They also visited the National Museum of the History of Armenian Ethnography and Liberation Struggle, dedicated to the victory of the Armenian people over the Turkish regular army in 1918.
